Why did I receive a different refund amount to what I paid?
When a refund is processed to your card, the amount is converted back to your local currency using the exchange rate on the day the refund is issued. This rate is set by your bank and is often different from the rate used for your original purchase.
Because exchange rates fluctuate, the refunded amount in your local currency will likely differ from what you originally paid. Your bank may also charge international transaction fees.
Please note that Visit Local Travel cannot refund any differences caused by these exchange rate changes or bank fees. To avoid this, we recommend always purchasing in your local currency.
For details on specific rates and fees, please contact your card issuer.
